Pumpkin Festival at Kidspace Children's Museum
Pumpkin Festival at Kidspace Children's Museum in PasadenaKidspace Children's Museum in Pasadena held the 11th Annual Pumpkin Festival, a fundraiser for Kidspace, co-sponsored by the city of Pasadena, IndyMac Bank, Nestlé, and the Disney Foundation.

This year's event, named “Creepy Crawlers,” featured very special guests, including actor Michael Muhney, who stars in the popular new UPN television show, Veronica Mars.

The Pumpkin Festival was Saturday, Oct. 29, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, Oct. 30, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., in the grassy horseshoe and park area surrounding Kidspace Children's Museum.

Attend in costume for the one-and-only Kidspace Costume Parade, taking place multiple times throughout the afternoon on both days of the Pumpkin Festival.

On Saturday, Oct.29, special guest Michael Muhney emceed the costume parade, scheduled at 1:45 p.m.

Muhney, along with Pasadena Mayor Bill Bogaard, was also be present at the Opening Ceremonies on Saturday at 12:45 p.m.

Throughout both days of the festival, enjoy live stage performances. Acts include the Lizard Boy Reptile Show; interactive storytelling, music, and dance with “Lori, Lori, What's the Story?”; comedy by Total Improv for Kids; the contemporary moves of Lineage Dance; classic rock kiddie-style with Cottage Industry; creepy crawly magic by David Skale; martial arts demonstrations by Kim's Hapkido and Renegade Effects; traditional Mexican dance with the young dancers of Ballet Folklorico; guitarist Tim Griffin; Mystique Entertainment in association with the Athletic Garage; and the dancers of the South Pasadena High School Advanced Dance Company.

The Pumpkin Festival has established itself as a favorite draw for families in the local region. Keeping with its old-fashioned carnival atmosphere, Pumpkin Festival admission is free, and individual rides, games, crafts, and activities require tickets available for purchase on site.

The festival also features rides, games, crafts, opportunity drawings, tours of the Kidspace Creepy Cave, and much more. Eats, sweets, and seasonal treats will be served.

Kidspace Children's Museum is located at 480 N. Arroyo Blvd., Pasadena. Free parking is available in Lot I, in Brookside Park, adjacent to the Rose Bowl.
